I am a linguist and literary researcher with many years of experience, which have only deepened my passion for Beauty and Knowledge and my delight in intellectual dialogue. After completing my BA in English and Swedish at the University of Bucharest, Romania in June 2000 and my PhD in English in 2005 at the University of Exeter, UK, funded through  what was then the highly competitive ORS (Overseas Research Scholarship), I also did two years of full-time studies in Spanish at the University of Lund, Sweden and the University of Malaga, Spain, partly funded through an Erasmus scholarship and focusing mainly on Spanish and Hispanic literature. 

As a member of  MET (Mediterranean Editors & Translators) and of ARTLIT (The Romanian Literary Translators' Association), part of CEATL (European Council of Literary Translators' Association), I also continue to learn from my colleagues as well as from the authors and editors I work with and to improve as a writer, editor and reviewer.
